The participation cost for the next Weeklong Seminar for Cultural Diplomacy in Africa: A Forum for Young Leaders is 195 Euros. If offered a place in the Weeklong Seminar, applicants are then required to transfer the participation cost to reserve their position.

As a not-for-profit organization the ICD is able to book accommodation for your time in Berlin at preferred rates.

The Mass Media & Communication Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (AT.IN.E.R.) organizes its 9th Annual International Conference on Communication and Mass Media, 16-19 May 2011. The registration fee is 250 euro, covering access to all sessions, two lunches, coffee breaks and conference material. Special arrangements will be made with local hotels for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of entertainment, a special one-day cruise in the Greek islands and a half-day archaeological tour in the wider area of Attica (Athens) tour.

10e Conférence Mondiale des Radiodiffuseurs Communautaires de l'AMARC

Conférence de journalisme d'investigation en Belgique

Les journalistes d'investigation qui s'intéressent aux médias et aux nouvelles méthodes de recherche peuvent participer à une conférence à Gand, en Belgique. La conférence aura lieu le 19 et 20 novembre.
La conférence est parrainée par la Dutch-Belgium Investigative Journalists' Association. L'événement sera organisé autour des conférences, des formations et des ateliers. Les principaux thèmes abordés seront la recherche d'enquête, les modèles d'affaires et la participation du public.

Conférence sur la diversité culturelle en Allemagne 6 -10 November 2010

The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy is currently accepting applications to its international conference "A World without Walls 2010".

The conference will explore the potential for cultural diplomacy and soft power in building peace and supporting reconciliation in different regions of the world and will consist of lectures and seminars held by leading figures from international politics, academia, international development, and civil society, as well as debates and panel discussions. The event is scheduled parallel to the historic international celebrations taking place in Berlin during the month of November, and on the evening of Tuesday, 9th November, participants will have the unique opportunity to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on the streets of Berlin.

Details	The seminar is mainly (but not exclusively) addressed to the newcomer and small organizations interested to learn more and get involved in Youth in Action projects. The participants will be representatives of such organizations able to share the knowledge, experiences, good practices and cultural related facts, and finally to came up with the ideas of projects and find new partners for the projects. A special focus will be addressed to organizations (NGOs or public institutions) working with disabled young people or with rural communities. However any organization interested to develop a Youth Exchange project in general and inclusion projects in particular, are more than welcomed. Participants need to have knowledge about the Youth in Action Program, Youth Exchanges and project management. Aims of the seminar • to provide the participants the necessary information for understand the key concepts in order to write good applications and implement effectively Youth in Action projects • to provide a space for sharing knowledge and experiences between organizations and public bodies involved in cultural diversity and social inclusion related activities • to offer a space for exchanging ideas and contacts in order to develop future partnerships among participants Working methods During the seminar there will be used interactive and non-formal methods placing the participants in the center of the learning process and focusing on the understanding of the intercultural differences and specifics of working with young people with fewer opportunities and young people from rural areas. A mix of workshops, facilitated discussions and other active tools will be mainly used in which the participants are invited to "produce" the content of the seminar rather than to "swallow" information. while the work results will be presented in the plenary sessions. The activities will be led by experienced facilitators in Youth Exchanges.
Costs	Romanian NA covers the costs for food, accommodation, working rooms and facilitators. The sending NA's will have to cover the travel costs of their participants.
